Our Story
Established in 2022, Strange Rootz was founded by 2 Florida boys who had a dream to create a craft cannabis brand that can compete with the bullshit corporate cannabis brands that have taken over most of the industry. Justin & Marco had a "DOPE" vision to grow the best cannabis possible first and foremost, but they also wanted to do it creatively, uniquely and organically. They put that dream into motion in 2022 and made the move from Florida to Michigan where the recreational cannabis market was fairly new and corporate cannabis companies was just starting to get their greedy hands on the market. Starting first with opening 3 local dispensaries in rural locations in west Michigan. Their grassroots approach to the industry and their street forward vibes quickly took hold. Shortly after, they began to revamp a state of the art 10,000sqft. sealed greenhouse that would later turn into a groundbreaking 14,000sqft. facility that Michigan has never seen before. Strange Rootz is bringing Michigan some of the best organically grown, living soil craft cannabis and solventless rosin the industry has to offer. Combining living soil with organic practices and the best self adjusting LEDS in the game. Utilizing available sunlight in a state of the art sealed greenhouse with 120 tons of A/C and a reheat system all while staying true to their street culture and swag is why Strange Rootz has been making such an impact in the Michigan cannabis industry. That unique swag is clearly represented with style in every piece of merch created. All artwork and merch as well as social media post and animations are designed in-house by Marco himself who has always had a passion for art and design since winning his first art contest at the age of 13 and later becoming a commercial artist for a brief time in his early 20's. Every piece of Strange Rootz merch is designed from the heart with bright bold colors, custom designs and artwork with small details and easter eggs hidden in various pieces that Marco is notorious for. Strange Rootz not only brings flavor to their award winning cannabis but also to every piece of merch released.
